The school has been making pet projects over the last few weeks. We have had to make our pet project on either our computer or on paper. First we wrote our ideas on the white board. Next we started our pet project. We had to write the things on the board on our piece of paper or on our chrome book. Then we went over it in vivid. Next we coloured it in and drew some pictures. What pet do you have?
A few days ago Ruma Tui listened to the book: 1 is a snail and 10 is a crab. After we had listened to the book, we went to our desks and drew some of the animals in our books. The legs on all the animals had to add up to 33. It was really fun drawing all the animals! Maybe you could draw some animals as well, that add up to number.
Over last few days Ruma Tui has been making origami boxes. First we watch a video of how to make them. Then we went to our desk and started to make them. First we cut it into a square, by folding it into a triangle. Then we undid the triangle so it looked like a square. Next we folded it in half both ways, then we folded all the corners into the middle. Then we folded the sides into the middle. Next we had to undo the sides. Then we had to undo those two sides again. Then you have to put your two fingers on a line and you have to push it together. Next you have to do it on the other side as well. then you have made an origami box! What colour would you choose and how would you explain it?

This week Ruma Tui has made up our own story’s and made a slide about our story’s, then we recorded them and put them on our blog. I enjoyed choosing my background and writing my story. It was hard making my characters with shape’s. What story would you choose?
The last few weeks Ruma Tui has been making a video on Canva. The first step was to write our plan for our colour poem. Then we went on to Canva and made our colour poem. Soon we put music in our video. Here is my colour poem. What colour would you choose?
In writing we wrote about the legend Maui and Mahuika. We had to use the shapes to have to draw the pictures. We had to keep looking back to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed making the pictures and fixing some of my mistakes in my writing.
First I wrote what happend on the video.Then I went back and re read what I said. I fixed up mistakes that I had done wrong. Then I added in punctuation. Next I went on to Google Draw and drawed the picture of the rocket. Then I put it into my blog.
